Aston Villaâs FA Cup exit against Peterborough United earlier this month means that Steve Bruceâs side have a welcome break this weekend, with the Villans not in Sky Bet Championship action either. Â
With no fixture this weekend, Bruceâs side have enjoyed a break before returning to training over the course of the last few days, as they begin their preparations for a huge game against Sheffield United on Tuesday evening.
Villa travel to Bramall Lane on Tuesday to face the sixth placed Blades, with two of the Championshipâs top-six going head-to-head in South Yorkshire.
The clubâs official Twitter account (@AVFCOfficial) have moved to share images as Villaâs preparation for Tuesday continues, with the likes of Andre Green, John Terry and Robert Snodgrass in good spirits ahead of the contest.
Bruceâs squad have every right to be in an upbeat mood ahead of their trip to Bramall Lane, with Villa on a fine run of form.
Barring their FA Cup hiccup against Peterborough, it has been an extremely good month for Villa, who have put a disappointing December behind them by recording four consecutive victories.
That run has stretched from the end of the festive period until now, helping Villa strengthen their grip on a place in the top-six.
