Blackburn Rovers are in the mix to sign Liverpool striker Liam Millar, according to Football Insider.

An array of Championship sides including QPR, Stoke and Millwall are keen on a move for the 21-year-old, who is being allowed to leave Anfield on a temporary basis this season.

Rovers have hardly been goal-shy thus far this season but it has not prevented them being linked with another striker.

Millar spent last season on loan at SPFL side Kilmarnock.

So, what do you make of this transfer link from a Blackburn perspective?

The team here at FLW have their say....

George Harbey

This could be a shrewd piece of business from a Blackburn perspective.

Goals clearly aren’t an issue for Tony Mowbray’s side having bagged nine times in their last two games, but every successful side needs quality in depth, especially with there being such a hectic schedule in the Championship this term.

He can play through the middle or up top, so he could be a really exciting option for Mowbray’s side, especially in their free-flowing attacking line.

He already has eight appearances under his belt for Canada so he is clearly a talent with decent pedigree, and to get him on loan would be a statement of intent given the other Championship sides said to be interested.

George Dagless

I think he'd be a good signing.

Is he needed? I think there might be a case for Blackburn to add to their attacking ranks too but, to be fair, they've not exactly lacked in the goals department of late!

Even so, Tony Mowbray has done a great job at Rovers so far this season and at building an attacking team that uses younger players that have either come through the club or been loaned in.

Millar is a player ready to be playing in the Championship in my opinion and I think at Blackburn there'd be a set-up there ready to take him to the next level.

Plenty of ticks in boxes here.

I’m torn with this one.

Millar is clearly someone that’s highly rated and he wouldn’t be at Liverpool if he wasn’t, but is he really good enough to come into a Championship side and convert them into top-six contenders?

That’s where Blackburn are at this moment in time. They’ve had a great start to the season and looking like mounting a top-six challenge, but they need to get the closing stages of the window right.

Players that are added to Mowbray’s squad from here have to be the right ones, there can be no passengers.

Millar would be a bit of a risk.
