Blackburn Rovers are one of two clubs looking at in-form Leyton Orient striker Macauley Bonne according to the Sun on Sunday (March 10, Page 61), with the 23-year-old also on the radar of struggling Bolton Wanderers.

Bonne has been in good form for Orient this season, scoring 20 goals and providing six assists in 36 appearances for the table topping National League side.

So would Bonne get near the starting XI if he signed for Rovers?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

“Absolutely not.

“Wow, I’m shocked people think this could happen.

“Going from National League to Championship is just not going to happen.

“I’ve seen Bonne, a lot, and he’s nowhere near that level.”

Jacob Potter

"I don’t think he’s any better than what they’ve currently got.

"Blackburn already have a number of players that would be ahead of Bonne in the pecking order and it would be a real waste of wages.

"His development would take a hit as well, especially if he doesn’t get the regular game time that he needs to further his development in senior football."

Jay Taylor

“If Ben Brereton can’t, I don’t see Bonne being a regular in the starting XI.

“With Danny Graham and Bradley Dack in the team, his chances could well be at a premium.

“Not to mention he would need to hit the ground running to get in and then remain in the side.”
