Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa could well be in the market for a new goalkeeper, after Whites shotstopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell agreed a £3.5m transfer to the Premier League with Burnley, as confirmed in the YEP.

Peacock-Farrell looks set to move to Turf Moor, after Tom Heaton left the club having secured a move from the Clarets to newly promoted Aston Villa.

So is £3.5million for Peacock-Farrell good business for the Whites?

We discuss........

George Harbey

“I think it’s probably about right for a player of Peacock-Farrell’s quality.

“If he had played all season long and didn’t get left out when Casilla came in, then Leeds fans will have been demanding a lot more for him.

“He is only young, but he just isn’t good enough to play for a top Championship side just yet, which makes the move to Burnley even more surprising.

“£3.5m should get Leeds far in the transfer market, especially with the money from Jansson’s sale too.”

Ned Holmes

“I’m not sure if it is a great deal but I think at this point given the circumstances it is a fair one.

“Peacock-Farrell had his wobbles last season but he also put in some really good performances and proved that he is a talented young goalkeeper.

“At 21, he has got plenty of time to hone his skills and develop as a player.

“However, the Northern Irishman has only got one year left on his deal at Elland Road and he reportedly wants to leave so I think it is a good time to cash in and £3.5 million isn’t a fee to be laughed at.

“It might provide Leeds with a little bit of financial flexibility to add to their squad before the window closes.”

George Dagless

"I'm not too sure about this.

"He might have made mistakes and been ousted from the side last season but he is a good young goalkeeper and he's got plenty to still improve upon.

"I do think it says a lot that he is being looked at by the likes of Premier League side Burnley as it suggests he's predicted to go far in the game.

"Here, I think Leeds are selling at a price where they expect him to reach the heights the Clarets might.

"If I'm seeing a Premier League side come in for one of my young players, I'd be jacking the price up and so I think the Whites are underselling here a bit."
