The transfer window is now beginning to whirr into life with plenty of Championship clubs looking to strengthen towards a potential promotion push.

One of those will be Swansea City who finished in the middle of the second-tier table last season but with a host of exciting youngsters they certainly have the potential to go higher.

And Football Insider have recently linked the Swans with a move for Peterborough United centre-back Ryan Tafazolli.

The 27-year-old made 47 appearances in all competitions last season but will become a free agent in July when his contract expires.

So, would this be a good signing for Swansea?

We discuss...

Jacob Potter

"I’m not sure about this one, to be honest.

"I have no doubt in my mind that Tafazolli is a useful player to have in a League One squad.

"But I just can’t see him getting the game time he needs if he was to move to Swansea, and this would be a poor move for both parties involved in my opinion."

Gary Hutchinson

“In terms of playing ability, it’s a decent one.

“He’s a good centre back, not the best in League One but not far off.

“The way he’s handled himself hasn’t impressed some Posh fans though.

“They’re questioning his attitude and that’s got to be a worry.”

Toby Wilding

"I'm not convinced by this one.

"While a free transfer currently seems appealing with Swansea's financial situation, they could soon be set for a windfall that changes that situation significantly with a number of key figures at the club looking set to move on for a fee.

"That would surely give Swansea the chance to go out and spend funds on a stronger option than Tafazolli."
