Preston North End slumped to a sixth defeat of the season, a result that sees the Lilywhites drop to the foot of the Championship table with only five points to show from nine matches played.

Alex Neil's side last won in a League Cup outing back in August against Leeds United, and have only picked up one point in the four matches they have played so far in September.

Our team give their opinion on whether Preston will be ok this season.

Jay Taylor

Usually, a solid, dependable side Preston are lacking this term for one reason or another.

They lost a couple of their better players and look a little weaker.

This could just be a bad run of form and you would imagine that Preston will be alright as soon as they figure a way to get out of this rut.

Gary Hutchinson

I’m not so sure they will be.

They’ve got the players that saw them okay last season, but right now they look very poor indeed.

You wouldn’t back them to win against anyone at all in the division.

We’re almost 20% of the campaign through already. They need to improve.

George Harbey

They’ve had a dismal start to the season but I reckon Preston will be alright this season.

They still have Bodin and Maguire to come back from injury, and after initially coming back from 2-0 down in quick succession against Sheffield United, it shows that they do have the character to get out of this rut.
