Despite the off-the-field issues regarding Charlton Athletic's ownership, on the pitch you cannot fault the efforts of Lee Bowyer and his squad as they currently sit in fifth place in League One in a strong play-off place, heading into the final seven matches of the season.

Bowyer's efforts though have pushed him to prominence and the 42-year-old as reported by Sky Sports, is keen to speak to QPR about their vacant manager's post, though as yet neither Bowyer or Charlton have been approached.

So should Charlton fans be nervous about QPR links?

We discuss.........

George Dagless

"Hard to say.

"I don't think you can deny his commitment to the club and desire to see it doing well but they are tough conditions to deal with.

"If he doesn't get the R's job I am confident he'll continue doing a good job."

Louie Chandler

"I'm not convinced.

"Bowyer has done a great job so far but he will not tolerate too much more Charlton's off field nonsense.

"If a decent offer comes in during the summer I wouldn't be surprised to see him go."

Jay Taylor

“I think he heart lies at the Valley, and talk of a potential exit is to quicken up the owners.

“It took Roland Duchatelet 170-odd days to confirm Bowyer as permanent manager after a successful caretaker stint last term, leading into this.

“So it could be all to get something sorted quicker.”
