West Brom manager Slaven Bilic looks like he is keen to add some firepower to his squad, despite his side sitting on top of the Championship, though the Baggies will need to stump up in the region of €15million to secure the signing of Dinamo Zagreb striker Mislav Orsic according to the Croatian website 24Sata.

Bilic is keen on signing his fellow Croatian and although West Brom look likely to be playing Premier League football next season, it is not yet sure if they can afford the fee whilst in the Championship.

So should the Baggies fork-out €15 million for Orsic?

We discuss.........

Ethan Van Ristell

"Slaven Bilic has clearly been alerted to his countryman's excellent performances this season for Dinamo Zagreb, as Orsic has 17 goals for his club this term.

"That tally includes a hat-trick against Atalanta in the Champions League. Therefore, there is no doubting the quality of the 27-year-old.

"However, with a price tag of 15 million euros, a deal for the winger would certainly take up a significant chunk of West Brom's transfer budget.

"Bilic knows a good Croatian player when he sees one, and Orsic looks like the real deal - he certainly has the ability to cut it in the Premier League. He would be an excellent signing for the Baggies, but the transfer fee remains the stumbling block for the club."

Jacob Potter

"I don’t think they need another striker to be honest with you.

"Orsic has been in brilliant form this season over in Croatia, scoring 11 league goals so far this term.

"I would be surprised if he was willing to drop into the Championship this season, and West Brom have coped fine without a player of his quality so far in this year’s campaign, so I think they should wait until the summer before forking out that sort of money.

"I think he’s capable of making the step up to the Premier League as well, so it would make sense if they pursued this deal again at the end of the season.

"Hal Robson-Kanu, Charlie Austin and Kenneth Zohore are strong enough options to see the Baggies win promotion back into the top-flight this term, and Orsic isn’t needed just yet."

Toby Wilding

"I'm not convinced they should.

"While Orsic's recent record is undoubtedly impressive, the Baggies are in a strong position as things are in the race for the Premier League, meaning they may not be inclined to make significant changes this month.

"If they were to pay a fee such as this for Orsic, there would surely be an expecting on them to use the striker, something which could then backfire if the Dinamo Zagreb striker struggles to adapt to England and the Championship.

"Indeed, with it looking as though West Brom are already going to have to fork out a considerable amount for Matheus Pereira - who has already proven himself in the second tier - in the next few weeks, you have to wonder whether they will be willing to part with such a sizeable fee here as well."
