Norwich City manager Daniel Farke will be making plans for life in the Premier League, free of the end of season lottery of the Championship play-offs having already secured promotion as champions this season.

Of the options Farke is considering, a permanent move for loan striker Jordan Rhodes could be on the cards, with his parent club Sheffield Wednesday expected to accept a modest fee to get him off their books, according to the print edition of the Sun (May 19, Page 63).

Farke is a huge fan of Rhodes and is likely to try and sort a deal with a reduced fee for the striker, as per PinkUn.

So would a permanent move for Rhodes be good business by the Canaries?

Gary Hutchinson

“No, and I can’t see it happening.

“He’s not a Premier League striker. He’s barely a Championship one.

“They’re going to need better from the bench against top teams.

“Sheffield Wednesday should try to get him firing for them because he’s got plenty to offer in the Championship.”

Alfie Burns

“It’s an interesting move and one I’m not completely sure of.

“Rhodes isn’t a bad striker despite his recent form in the Championship, and he clearly found a home at Norwich.

“I doubt he will play too much, as Norwich will probably look for another striker to complement Pukki, but options are no bad thing.”

Toby Wilding

"I'm not convinced by this.

"It probably wouldn't be a cheap move, and it is for a striker who spent much of his loan spell at Carrow Road playing second fiddle to Teemu Pukki.

"Rhodes' record during his brief time in the Premier League with Middlesbrough was also far from convincing, and you'd feel there are strikers available to Norwich who could do a better job than him."

Louie Chandler

"I don't think it is.

"Rhodes was a decent servant last season but I think Farke should be looking a little bigger in the Premier League.

"Rhodes has struggled in the top flight before so it seems like an unnecessary risk."
