Coventry City midfielder Tom Bayliss is somebody who looks set to attract a lot of attention this summer with Premier League giants Liverpool the latest to throw their hat into the ring, according to TeamTalk

The classy midfielder has made 73 appearances since making his debut for the Sky Blues in December 2017, scoring nine goals in that time.

However, according to the report, if Jurgen Klopp and co. are to land the youngster they will have to see off arch-rivals Everton as well as Leeds, Newcastle, Brighton and Middlesbrough.

But would this be a good signing for the Reds?

We discuss...

Chris Gallagher

"I think it would be the wrong move for the player.

"You can see why Liverpool are interested as he's a talented young player but if we're honest he's going to struggle to get a chance in the first-team, even in the years to come.

"Liverpool are one of the best sides in Europe, so I think Bayliss should be on the lookout for a club that offers a clearer path to the first-team."

Jacob Potter

"I'm not sure about this one.

"There's no doubting that Bayliss has got exciting potential, but I just can't see him being able to force his way into the Liverpool team anytime soon.

"He's not an upgrade on what they already have, and there are certain to be a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order in the future."

Louie Chandler

"I'm not convinced at all.

"Bayliss is a very talented youngster but would he get the opportunities at Anfield? I very much doubt it.

"It would be a waste of money for Liverpool and a waste of time for Bayliss. He should step up into the Championship first."
