‘I’m not convinced’ – Aston Villa plotting transfer approach for title winner

Published

on

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith continues to look to strengthen his squad during the January window, on the back of a third round FA Cup exit at the hands of Swansea City at the weekend.

The latest player to be linked with the Villans, is Leicester full-back Christian Fuchs according to The Mirror, who has fallen down the pecking order at the King Power, due to the form of Ben Chilwell and could be available on loan for the remainder of the season.

So would Fuchs be a good signing for Villa?

We discuss…..

Gary Hutchinson

No.

He’s far too much money and wouldn’t bring the right attributes to their squad.

They need younger, hungry players like Kortney Hause.

Steer clear.

George Dagless

Potentially.

The full-back area still needs addressing at Villa and Fuchs will add good cover and experience.

It’s worth a look for the right price.

Louie Chandler

I’m not convinced.

Fuchs very much peaked in Leicester City’s title-winning season and going off recent performances I think Villa can get better.

They certainly need defensive reinforcements, however.
