Plenty of Leeds United fans have taken to social media to reflect on the club's season, after the Championship play-off semi-final defeat to Derby County last night.

After such a promising season, Leeds are facing another year in the Championship after their promotion hopes were shattered by Derby at Elland Road.

The Rams came from 2-0 down on aggregate to set up a play-off final with Aston Villa later this month, leaving Leeds fans to wonder what might have been.

The Whites challenged for automatic promotion all season and at one stage were threatening to win the league title, but ultimately missed out on a place in the top two to Norwich City and Sheffield United, losing three of their final four matches.

After falling at the final hurdle in the automatic promotion race, the Whites had another chance at promotion in play-offs, but there hopes of a return to the Premier League this season are now over, after last night's capitulation in the second half at Elland Road.

The result means that Leeds' 15-year wait for a return to the top flight continues and has left question marks over head coach Marcelo Bielsa's future at the club.
