Emile Smith Rowe has said that he's buzzing to face Leeds United in Saturday's West Yorkshire derby.

The Arsenal starlet has made quite an impression since moving to Huddersfield Town on loan during the January transfer window, making nine appearances and having a hand in four goals.

The 19-year-old has played a key role in the Terriers recording back-to-back wins in recent weeks, with those six points helping Danny Cowley's side to move up to 17th in the Championship table ahead of the test with Marcelo Bielsa's side.

But while Smith Rowe says that he's confident of pulling off an upset at Elland Road, he believes that Huddersfield must keep their focus to ensure they don't get dragged into the relegation zone.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Smith Rowe said: "We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves.

“We’re just trying to stay positive and we’re taking each game as it comes.

“We’re happy at the moment coming off the back of two wins and looking forward to Saturday.”

Can you name the club that these 15 ex-Huddersfield Town stars play for now? Have a go!

Ahead of the West Yorkshire Derby on Saturday, Smith Rowe said: “I’ll be buzzing, to be fair.

“It’ll be my first derby – I didn’t actually know it was a derby until not that long ago, so I can’t wait!

“Hopefully we can get a result – I’m confident in the boys.”

Earlier in the season, Leeds won 2-0 at the John Smith's Stadium, as second-half goals from Ezgjan Alioski and Pablo Hernandez put Danny Cowley's side to the sword, despite a positive first-half from the Terriers.

Since then, Leeds have motored on in the promotion race and sit second, whilst Huddersfield - with Smith Rowe now on board - are battling at the other end of the table and looking to fight off back-to-back relegations.
