It has been a long month for Leeds United’s supporters, as they waited to discover who would replace Garry Monk as the club’s head-coach following his shock resignation towards the end of May.

A host of names have been linked with the vacancy, but it appears Andrea Radrizzani has identified who will replace Monk, with former APOEL boss, Thomas Christiansen, set to take charge ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

According to reports in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Radrizzani held talks with Christiansen last week and the 44-year old has been on the Italian’s radar since Monk’s departure.

Christiansen took APOEL to the Europa League last 16 during the 2016/17 campaign, as well as winning Cyprus’ first division title, but his employers opted not to extend his 12-month contract.
