Coventry City fans have reacted to the news that the League One and Two campaigns are set to be abandoned, as per reports from The Athletic.
The Sky Blues have enjoyed a fantastic season under Mark Robins, and automatic promotion looked to be well on the cards before the EFL season was brought to a halt.
Robins’ side currently sit top of the Sky Bet League One standings, five points clear of Rotherham United in second having played a game less than their promotion rivals.
However, as per reports from The Athletic this morning, both the League One and League Two campaigns look set to be abandoned.
The EFL are set to inform clubs next week, and ask them to vote on a method which would decide who gets promoted and who gets relegated.

The current favourite method is said to be the points-per-game model, which puts Coventry, Rotherham and Oxford in the driving seat for promotion from League One.
With the Sky Blues sitting at the top of both the league standings and the points-per-game standings, we take a look at Coventry fans’ reactions to this latest news…
I'm actually feeling rather smug, all the fans of clubs below us arguing about which method they use to decide promotion. Whichever method they use, we're still going to be top. #PUSB

Wouldn't bother me one bit if we were "gifted" promotion on a PPG basis, just want to finally play in a proper league again #PUSB

There will be some that moan. Sunderland being the first I would imagine. If they do determine promotion in this way, city fully deserve it. #pusb

Hope this is true. Not the way we'd want to go up. But if we can't continue I'll take it. Doesn't matter how you do it, get the job done. Hopefully PPG is the voted choice. I'd be so heartbroken if they ended up voiding the campaign. Best way to solve a season IMO (biased) #PUSB https://t.co/Byrr2pCcmx

The Athletic reporting that Leagues One and Two will be abandoned next week and clubs will vote on how to decide the league positions. Current favourite way is a weighted PPG based on number of home and away games left… and that it would see us champions 🙌🏻 #PUSB

Yes. But we desperately need to get up to the Champs whatever way and keep this manager and most of the squad to build on. Staying down would be catastrophic for us more than most. #pusb
