According to Football Insider, German Bundesliga side Schalke are interested in signing Derby County winger Florian Jozefzoon.

The 28-year-old became Frank Lampard's first permanent signing in charge of the Rams last summer, arriving from Championship side Brentford for a reported fee of £2.75million.

But after making just 13 league starts for the East Midlands side last term, the Dutchman's future at Pride Park is up in the air, having failed to make an impact under new Derby boss Phillip Cocu at PSV Eindhoven.

It is claimed by Football Insider that Schalke, who are managed by former Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner, are interested in signing the pacey attacker this summer, after already landing Jonjoe Kelly on loan from Everton.

Jozefzoon still has two years left on his current deal at Pride Park, and after scoring three goals and producing one assist last season, the winger will feel like he definitely has more to offer.
