There’s every reason to be pleased if you’re a Leeds United supporter this season, with the club completely transformed since Marcelo Bielsa took charge.

The Whites are looking on course to make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this season and returned to the top of the Championship table after a 3-0 win over Reading last night.

But it’s not just the first-team that have looked impressive this season, with the under 23’s side looking like they’ve got a league title of their own well and truly wrapped up already with games in hand.

The youngsters have hardly put a foot wrong all season and are now eight points clear at the top of the table.

Bielsa has used the under 23’s side to give first-team players that are returning from injury a chance to build up their match fitness.

But the likes of Mateusz Bogusz and Hugo Diaz in particular have stood out for the Whites and they could well find themselves fast-tracked into Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team squad in the near future.

The future certainly looks bright with a number of youngsters already being used in the first-team as Leeds look like the team to beat in the Championship this season.

With Bielsa in charge, I couldn’t think of a better manager to work under and the under 23’s will thrive under his guidance.

He’s willing to give them a chance which is important, but they need to repay that faith with a good enough performance, in which they are currently doing at this moment in time.

There’s every reason to be excited about the future, and Leeds’ young players will be hoping they can breakthrough to the first-team in the near future under Marcelo Bielsa.
