Wolves are the team to beat at the moment in the Championship and it is Reading who face the task of taking them on this weekend.

The men from Molineux have been excellent in what they have done so far this campaign and the likes of Diogo Jota and Leo Bonatini have been exceptional in helping them right to the summit of the division.

Certainly, then, the club will be looking to seal permanent deals for the players before too long but what if they can't? What if, for example, they miss out on Leo Bonatini?

With that in mind and armed with transfermarkt's comparable players section, we're taking a look at three potential replacements for Leo Bonatini.

First up is Moussa Konate who plays for Amiens. He signed for the French club in the summer and has started pretty well for them with five goals and an assist so far. He also averages one in three for Senegal and is good at working the channels so could possibly rotate nicely in Wolves' front three.

Second, we've got a more familiar face to these shores - Bristol City's Famara Diedhiou. The striker has adapted well to football in this country and the Robins won't sell easily. If Wolves are in the top flight next season and come calling, though, the man with six goals this season really might be tempted.

Finally is Tobi Kayode. On loan from Manchester City to Girona, Kayode has helped the Catalan side adapt to La Liga life this year. Whether he plays for City remains to be seen on return so maybe Wolves could offer a loan deal to them? He's not scored this season though so we're not sure this is the best option.

Of the three, then, we'd back Wolves to go for Diedhiou. He's been good this season for the Robins and would enjoy playing in Wolves' attack, though the club ideally needs to get the Bonatini deal done instead.
