Aston Villa will look to bounce back this weekend after defeat to QPR in the week seriously dented their automatic promotion hopes.

Steve Bruce’s men had beaten league leaders Wolves just three days before but lost to the R’s 3-1 which left them seven points behind Cardiff City.

Despite the significant setback, owner Tony Xia sent out a positive message on twitter to many of the players.

He told them to keep going ahead of the ‘last 9 finals’, with Villa knowing they will need to win the vast majority if they are to have any chance of catching the Welsh side or Wolves.

However, one positive is that they welcome Cardiff to Villa Park in April, in what could be a pivotal game for both clubs.

And, it appears the Villa fans haven’t yet given up hope going by the responses to Xia, with many also looking at how much improvement has been made in the last year…
