Once again, it’s been another rollercoaster season for Sunderland.
The Black Cats currently sit in seventh position in the League One table, just outside the play-off spots in what has been an inconsistent campaign.
It is still uncertain as to how the League One and Two seasons will be finalised, with it being suggested that they may be cancelled with it looking increasingly hard for them to be completed.
Thus, Mackems fans will have to sit tight and wait for the outcome with another season in League One potentially beckoning.
Can you remember which Sunderland manager signed each of these 15 players? Have a go now!
This pause in football will allow owners, managers and fans to take stock of the players in their squad and identify whom should be moved on, or who should be retained at the club.
One player who has been enjoying a loan stint at Sunderland is English forward Antoine Semenyo, who joined the club on loan from Championship side Bristol City in January.
The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for Phil Parkinson’s side, not scoring or assisting yet, but has shown flashes of his ability.
And, the young English forward has been the subject of a debate initiated by Sunderland fans Twitter account Black Cats HQ, who asked the following question: ‘In the brief time we’ve seen him, would you like us to try launch a move to sign Antoine Semenyo on a permanent deal next season?’
It seems that Sunderland fans were split on the debate though, with many questioning whether the club would have the money to afford the player….
Are we all chipping in for him like

On loan for another season I would be ok with that. The little I saw of him he looked as if he had a chance of playing at a good level. Definitely worth a chance.

If we had the money then yes
You need depth in a promotion winning squad, he seems fearless and has a lot of ability, if we can nurture that we could have a really good player https://t.co/Az9JqYt2rV
