Fulham missed the opportunity to win automatic promotion after falling to a 3-1 defeat at Birmingham last time out.

With Cardiff only drawing, three points would've seen the Cottagers move up to second place, however, it wasn't to be with Blues fully deserving of the result.

That means Fulham have to settle for the play-offs where they will face Derby County in the semi-final, with the first leg at Pride Park tomorrow.

However, Slavisa Jokanovic's men are favourites to secure promotion and it's not surprising given the squad he has at his disposal.

Fulham have real quality throughout the team and if they did go up would be expected to stay up by many.

Here we look at three additions that could make the side even better in the Premier League...

It's no coincidence that Fulham's form has been unbelievable since Mitrovic joined in January.

He was the easily the signing of the winter window and transformed the team with his ability to hold-up play and importantly to score goals.

Signing the Serbian international has to be a priority after his performances since joining.

With Swansea relegated Fulham should be eyeing up a move for Mawson.

The Cottagers need a top centre-back and he would be the perfect addition.

Capable on the ball, which suits Fulham's style and aggressive in his play, the former Barnsley man was a standout player for Swansea. There might be other top-flight interest but Fulham may appeal to the player.

The Norwich City midfielder is destined to play at the top but a move to an elite club may not benefit the player now as he may not play all the time.

Instead, going to Fulham, if they're promoted, where he would regularly feature could benefit all parties.

With superb technique and real creativity, he would be a major player for the Whites.
