Leeds United have had a superb campaign in the Championship and Garry Monk's team had a superb result this weekend too, beating Brighton 2-0 at Elland Road.

The Whites have been in great form in recent weeks and thanks to their 21st win of the season, they've firmly cemented themselves in the top six.

With Huddersfield, Newcastle and of course Brighton losing points, Leeds have been gaining ground on their rivals and their push for the play-offs is looking more and more positive by the week.

Leeds have been able to maintain their form whilst their rivals have stumbled and it's a real positive that the Whites are still in the mix with just a handful of games left to play.

And with a place in the Premier League still to play for, if they do make it back into the top-flight, who should Monk be looking to sign?

Here's FIVE stars we think would seriously help Leeds climb the Premier League table, if they are promoted.....

Callum Wilson

Chris Wood has seriously carried the Leeds United forward line this season and he's done it excellently, taking his two goals against Brighton this weekend very well indeed.

But there's a real need for another top forward to be added to this Leeds United side this summer and one player that would seriously fit the bill is Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

He's unfortunately been ruled out for the rest of this season after suffering yet another long-term injury but when he's fit, he's as good a striker as we have here in England.

Daryl Murphy

With Newcastle United looking increasingly likely to get promoted as one of the Championship's top-two this campaign, there will be a number of their players who might be available as a result of their promotion back to the top flight.

One of those could be Daryl Murphy.

No-one in the North East would question his effort or work-rate but he's not going to be the man to dislodge the likes of Gayle and Mitrovic from the United forward line.

He's got a similar playing style to Chris Wood and could be the perfect man to challenge him for number one spot in the Leeds forward line.

Sheyi Ojo

With Modou Barrow not having the best impact having joined the club on-loan from Swansea City in January, the need to bring in another pacy winger is of importance this summer.

One man that could fit the bill, on a loan deal or a permanent transfer (if they can pull it off) is Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo, who has continued to impressed having made his first-team breakthrough.

The former Wolves loanee has pace to burn and a real desire to get at defenders- and continuing your development at Leeds infront of huge crowds every week certainly isn't a bad thing in the slightest.

Piotr Zielinski

Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski was hotly tipped with a move to Liverpool last summer but with no move materialising, the Polish international remained in Italy.

He remains a big part of Napoli's central midfield pairing but you do wonder, if a club like Leeds came in with an offer for his services, whether he'd turn down the opportunity to play at the top level in England with a club of the Whites's stature.

He'd add some fantastic quality to the middle-of-the-park if a move could be agreed and could prove to be one of the most exciting signings in Leeds United history.

Phil Jagielka

Despite coming back into the Everton side in recent weeks, Everton veteran Phil Jagielka certainly hasn't had one of his best seasons at Goodison Park this campaign.

And if he is deemed surplus to requirements at the club this summer, a move to Elland Road might not be a bad shout in the slightest, especially with Kyle Bartley seemingly set to return to Swansea City this summer.

He's got bags of experience at both club and international level and knows the division like the back of his hand.
