Millwall have seen a massive lift in their form since Gary Rowett took over as first-team manager and they now have an opportunity to keep pushing for the top six.

The Lions boss has been terrific since coming through the door, and the main difference that he's made is the ability to make them competitive in every game they play - including away from home.

The Den has always been a tough place to go but now Millwall are looking dangerous when visiting any side in the Championship and have beaten teams such as Swansea and Bristol City at their own grounds.

Now, they have been linked with Tottenham winger Jack Clarke who could be set to join on a loan deal that would last until the end of the season.

This would be a perfect signing for Millwall and one that would show a sign of intent in trying to push up the league and get into the top division. Clarke was at Leeds for the first part of the campaign but failed to feature much, and now he has a point to prove.

At the moment, Millwall heavily rely on the outstanding Jed Wallace for creativity in the side. He creates numerous chances and can often finish off a move after good play.

However, if the Lions want to aim for the top six then they need to bring in more players who are able to create chances on a regular basis. Clarke could be one of them, and would help Wallace attack during games - especially at The Den.

He could be a game changer in terms of the system they play, and would allow Rowett to potentially try a style that involves two out and out wingers making the backline more solid due to not needing the over-lapping full-backs.

It'll be interesting to see if they can win the race for the youngster, but if they do it will be a good addition in their quest for the play-offs.
