Leeds United are currently sat mid-table - unlikely to be successful in a very late push for the play-offs, and possibly already having one eye on the summer transfer window and how to improve their squad for a more successful push next season.

Samuel Saiz has been one of the stand-out players in the Leeds squad, but one thing is for sure, they need to add some major firepower to join Saiz.

The Lily Whites had to take a major gamble on Saiz joining La Liga Segunda Division side Huesca last summer, and they may have to make another gamble for a reasonable striker.

These two current League One strikers could be the ones to go for next summer...

Jack Marriott has been firing goals all season for Peterborough United and currently sits as League One top goalscorer - with 24 goals league goals so far this season.

Marriott joined from League Two's Luton Town where he also had an impressive goalscoring ratio.

With Posh looking to make a late push for the League One play-offs, if they fall short then Marriott could be looking for a move to the Championship, and Yorkshire-born Marriott could find a place close to home in Leeds.

Walsall forward Erhun Oztumer has fired a number of goals from midfielder, and shown he has what it takes to supply and demand for the Saddlers.

With 14 goals and six assists so far this season in League One, the Turkish midfielder could be looking to make the jump up to the Championship this season, and provide the likes of Saiz the delivery he requires.

The 26-year-old made his move to the Bescot two seasons ago on a free transfer so could be a cheap move for Leeds.
