With current Leeds boss Garry Monk's future at Elland road looking very uncertain, there is already speculation that new chairman Andrea Radrizzani has a list of candidates he's looking at to replace Monk.

Former Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is apparently at the top of his targets, and with his experience of managing in England, would surely be a good replacement.

Although, with the current Leeds squad narrowly missing out on the play-offs this campaign, if Karanka is to take Leeds to the next level and push towards promotion, he will definitely have to strengthen the squad with a few crucial signings.

Loan signings like Kyle Bartley, who ultimately proved crucial to the Whites last season, are back at their parent club, meaning the Yorkshire club are undoubtedly going to need to dip into the summer transfer window.

With that in mind, here are TWO players that Karanka should sign if he was appointed Leeds manager...

Daniel Ayala

Karanka was the man who brought Ayala to Middlesborough back in 2014, and was a standout performer under the Spanish manager for three years in the Championship.

The Football League Championship PFA Player of the Year during the 2015/16 campaign, the year in which Karanka guided the Boro second in the Championship table which saw them promoted.

Unfortunately for the Spanish centre-half, he had a long-running ankle problem for the duration of Middlesbrough's Premier League campaign, and only making two appearances were relegated back to the Championship.

Additionally, Leeds will definitely be in need of a solid centre-half, with Kyle Bartley returning to his parent club Swansea City, Karanka will needs a new signing to partner fan favourite Pontus Jansson, and Ayala when fully fit will be the perfect partner.

As, Karanka and Ayala are known to have a fantastic relationship, the 26-year-old may favour a move to Elland Road, who are in the Championship, opposed to staying at Middlesbrough, who are also in the Championship.

Danny Graham

Another player Karanka has worked with in the past, Graham currently at Blackburn Rovers, may not be the most extravagant signing that Leeds fans will be hoping for but he may end up being a crucial part of Karanka's system.

Currently at Blackburn Rovers, the 31-year-old will definitely be looking for a Championship team this summer, following Rovers' relegation to League One and due to his age may not cost Leeds too much to sign.

The English forward has proved his threat in-front of goal for many different clubs including Watford, Swansea and Middlesborough and would offer even more goals into Leeds' setup.

The Whites would definitely benefit from another striker up-front other than prolific forward Chris Wood, no other player hit over 10 goals, and with Graham hitting 13 goals in a under-performing side this campaign, would definitely give Leeds a better chance of promotion next year.
