Tottenham Hotspur continue to be credited with an interest in Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen, who is enjoying a fine campaign.

The 22-year-old just cannot seem to stop scoring at the moment and hit his 14th Championship goal of the season in Hull’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Those numbers for a wide player are incredible and it is not too difficult to understand why Tottenham are being strongly linked with the Englishman.

Hull are now only two positions off the top six in the Championship and losing Bowen at this stage of the campaign would be a huge blow.

It would not be the end of the world, however, and below are three players who would make ideal replacements for the former Hereford United youngster.

Greg Docherty

Greg Docherty is currently on loan from Rangers at Shrewsbury Town and he has scored seven times and contributed eight assists for the League One club this term.

Last week, Docherty told the Shropshire Star that he was focused on staying at Shrewsbury, but Hull should approach Rangers in a bid to sign the 22-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.

The versatile midfielder could prove to be a star at Championship level after showing his credentials in the third tier of English football.

Marcus Maddison

Peterborough United are currently in the playoff spots in League One and would fight hard to keep Marcus Maddison this month, as they did in the summer.

The 25-year-old is enjoying another fine campaign with 16 assists in all competitions and he has actually contributed 77 assists for the Posh since his arrival in 2014, which is a staggering record.

Maddison would surely want to swap a playoff push in League One for a top-six challenge in the Championship though, which looks on for Hull at the moment.

Jamal Lowe

Jamal Lowe has contributed 10 goals and four assists for Portsmouth in League One this season. The 24-year-old - a 2017 arrival from non-league football - has proved his class in the third tier this term.

Lowe certainly looks capable of making the step into the Championship and although Portsmouth will be desperate to keep him, the Harrow-born attacker would surely jump at the chance to join a Championship club.
