Aston Villa are reportedly eyeing a move for Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke in January, according to Football Insider.

Clarke has been sensational for the Blades so far this season and currently sits as the top scorer in the Sky Bet Championship, with 13 goals.

Should the 32-year-old forward snub Villa if the come calling in January?

We discuss....

Chris Gallagher

One million per cent - from a football perspective.

The only reason to leave would be for money and if that's what Clarke wants to do then fair enough.

He is playing the best football of his career under Chris Wilder and is a hero at Bramall Lane. He'll be swapping that for another club where it might not work out.

Clarke is flying now and I doubt he would even consider a move - and nor should he.

Alfie Burns

If he has any respect for Chris Wilder he will.

Wilder has completely transformed Clarke’s reputation, and without him, I doubt that Villa would even be showing an interest in the 32-year-old.

The Sheffield United boss has given Clarke belief in his ability and helped the striker find the best form of his career this season in the Championship.

For me, Bramall Lane is the best place for him.

Adam Simeoni

I think it would be a good move for him, and provide him with a better shot of playing in the Premier League.

Whether it would be a good move for Villa however is questionable.

Clarke is scoring goals for fun at the moment, but he fits perfectly into the Blades' system. Would it work out for him at Villa Park? Better strikers have failed.

George Dagless

Without a doubt.

Clarke is in the form of his life at the moment with the Blades and has never played this well before.

He should be well aware that only Chris Wilder has got a tune out of him so far and so I think he needs to stay put for the foreseeable future.
