Derby County will be itching to get back into the swing of things in the Championship after they inexplicably lost against Reading last time out.

Indeed, that unexpected result really put the brakes on things in the second tier after they were beginning to build up a head of steam and Gary Rowett will be looking to his side to put things right once action resumes.

In the meantime, though, we've been thinking about his squad and whether or not Andi Weimann particularly has a future at the club.

A handy, creative player, Weimann has been in and out of the side all season and there is a case to suggest that maybe the Rams would like to move him on if they got the right price.

This is all hypothetical at the moment, of course, but it is not as if Weimann is the first name on the team-sheet and we think if the Rams did put up a for sale sign, Sheffield Wednesday should act.

Wednesday have rallied in recent weeks but they do still need to add some more creativity to their squad with only a handful of players really able to generate chances.

Certainly, they're missing the likes of Fernando Forestieri and, though he'll be back in a couple of months and Weimann isn't as good, signing the Austrian would help soften the blow if he gets injured again.

Indeed, Weimann is a man with Premier League experience, too, and would surely provide some extra spark to the Hillsborough side.
