New Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has already made a huge impact at the Championship club, after just a matter of weeks in the role and one of the biggest shake-ups has been in the player department.

Warnock moved quickly to sign free transfers Sol Bamba, Junior Hoilett, Marouane Chamakh, and Kieran Richardson, but it now appears that any more incoming transfers will need to wait until some names have departed the club.

One player who could leave the Bluebirds in January is winger Craig Noone.

The former Brighton winger enjoyed an impressive couple of seasons in South Wales when he first joined the club, but has failed to re-capture his form of old since the club were relegated from the Premier League, and a knee injury disrupted his career.

Football League World writer Steve Day looks at THREE potential replacements that Warnock could turn to, if the decision is made to sell Noone during the January transfer window to generate funds for new signings.....

Callum McManaman

Callum McManamand

McManaman was on the crest of a wave when he was named man of the match in Wigan's epic 2013 FA Cup Final 1-0 win over Manchester City, with his stock as a player at an all-time high.

Unfortunately, it has been a period of stagnation ever since.

The 25-year-old winger made a move to West Brom back in January 2015, but has found his first team opportunities increasingly limited as time has gone by.

He only appeared in a third of the Baggies' competitive matches last season and has failed to make a league appearance for the team this year.

A move to Cardiff City would be ideal for McManaman with his former team mate Rickie Lambert, having already made the move to South Wales and the arrival of Nacer Chadli at the Hawthorns means McManaman's first team chances are no slim to none.

He is a player that has struggled to impress on the Premier League stage but has a proven track record at Championship level.

Sheyi Ojo

Ojo began his youth career with MK Dons before making a switch to Liverpool, but has taken huge steps over the past few seasons as he has broken into the Reds first team under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.

Loan spells with Wigan and Wolves gave Ojo the chance to strut his stuff on the Championship, where he received massive praise for his performances in the second tier of English football.

Injuries have set his progress back this season and restricted his push for starts at Anfield, but a spell on loan with the Bluebirds could be the perfect answer to help him get back up to speed.

The 19-year-old is one of the most exciting teenage wingers in English football and has represented England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, and Under-19 levels with rumours of a call-up to the England Under-21s just around the corner.

Bakary Sako

Bluebirds fans will be more than familiar with former Wolves winger Sako, after the 28-year-old winger terrorised their defence during his time with the Molineux club in the Championship between 2012 and 2015, divided by a solitary season in League One during 2013/14.

Sako's ability to create and score goals in equal measure saw him bagging 10-15 goals every season with Wolves and this led to a multi-million pound move to Premier League side Crystal Palace in 2015.

Unfortunately, despite making consistent appearances for the Eagles last season, Sako has found his first team opportunities limited after the arrival of Andros Townsend from Tottenham.

The signing of Sako would be a safe bet for Warnock who has come up against the pacey Malian international winger before, during his time as Leeds manager back in 2012/13, and there is no doubt Sako would relish the chance to play week in and week out once again.

What do you think Cardiff fans? Are these signings perfect replacements for Noone if the skilful wide man departs the club? If not, who would you like to see signed by Warnock in January? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
