Nottingham Forest youngster Tyler Walker has spent the season on loan with Mansfield Town, helping to fire them into the top four of League Two.
He’s bagged 17 league goals and that tremendous form has seen him named in the EFL Team of the Year for the division.
The team is voted for by managers of other clubs, proving that Walker has had a big influence not just on the Stags, but also the other managers who have seen him in action.
Having had a tough loan spell with Bolton last season, Walker was delighted to get recognition for his services, tweeting delight at being named alongside James Norwood as well as several other Mansfield players.
It also prompted fans of both his clubs to congratulate him on the award.
Forest fans’ hope to see him troubling their first team next season after his impressive exploits, whilst Stags’ fans want a more immediate impact as they hunt an automatic promotion spot this season.
Here’s the best of their reaction on social media.
Well deserved. Need you back amongst the goals for the last few games.
