Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic are the latest clubs to have been linked with a move for Stoke City forward Lee Gregory.

The Daily Mail claims that the 31-year-old could be allowed to leave the bet365 Stadium on loan this month, having already been linked with Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City.

The striker signed for Stoke on a free transfer from Millwall in the summer, and has scored four goals in 23 league appearances for the Potters since his move to Staffordshire.

Sam Vokes and Tyrese Campbell are seemingly ahead of Gregory in the pecking order under Michael O'Neill, though, with a January exit looking increasingly likely.

Having been linked with the signature of Sam Cosgrove, Stoke are seemingly on the lookout for another attacker this month, as they look to bolster their options in the final third.

Gregory's departure would make room for another forward, and here, we take a look at what Stoke fans have said about his potential departure, via the Stoke City - Sentinel page on Facebook...

David Johnson: He’s not an out and out goal scorer more of a John Walters type of player for me and one of the few this season that actually puts a shift in when he plays so yes I’d keep him

Lindsey Young: He works his socks off so keep him. But get some decent service to him. Doesn’t matter who is up front if the ball in is poor and played too late. Speed the whole process up then our strikers have a better chance.

Pat Mitchell: If he's going don't do another loan just sell him or we are going to have nearly a full side out on loan

Johnny Hough: Where he's going find them from we haven't had a centre forward who's found any for years.

Nathan Hilditch: Not actively no, but if the price was right why not? He's hardly set the world alight, as long as we bring in a decent replacement

James Preece: Our best striker by a mile

John Conway: Keep him , then go and ask steino &sheron where they hid their scoring boots ...
