Norwich City are edging closer to a return to the Premier League, with Daniel Farke's side currently three points clear of Sheffield United at the top of the Championship table.

The Canaries will be hoping that they can follow in the footsteps of Wolves who won promotion last season, as they have established themselves as a strong top-flight side.

Daniel Farke's side might not have the 'big name players' that the Wolves players had in their title-winning season of 2017/2018.

Wolves had a considerable amount more transfer funds available to them at the time compared to this year's Norwich team and that was evident as they cruised to the Championship title last season.

The likes of Ruben Neves was a star player for Wolves last season, whereas Teemu Pukki has proved to be one of the signings of the season for a price that is considerably cheaper than what Wolves paid for Neves last year.

But who would win in a game between this year's Norwich side and last year's title-winning Wolves team?

We discuss....

Gary Hutchinson:

"I don't think the Norwich side would win against last year's Wolves team.

"It's different this season, hard work and endeavour have got Norwich to the top.

"With Wolves, it was a few quality signings, players worth a lot of money.

"The Norwich side would give it a good go, but the likes of Ruben Neves would be the difference."

Toby Wilding:

"I'd have to give it to Wolves.

"Nuno's side had so much start power within their ranks last season, and unlike the current Norwich side, they have shown they won't crack under pressure and were relentless in their match to promotion last season.

"Whereas Norwich have shown signs of not dealing well under pressure."

George Harbey:

"Norwich wouldn't stand a chance against Wolves in my view.

"Wolves spent so much money last season, and already looked like a Premier League team playing in the Championship.

"They are the best team to ever play in the division in my opinion, and even though Norwich are such a good team, they'd come up short against Wolves."
