It has emerged that talented Bristol Rovers striker, and fan favourite, Jonson Clarke-Harris has opened up contract talks with the Bristolian club amid interest from Hull City and Reading.

Clarke-Harris joined the club from Coventry City in January of this year and has exploded onto the scene in the South West, hitting 11 goals in 17 competitive appearances during the second half of the 2018-2019 season.

Despite a pelvic injury ruling the frontman out of pre-season, and him still not being considered fully fit, JCH has continued where he left off last season, scoring five goals in his first eight games of the campaign and being the poster boy for the Gas.

Clarke-Harris still has two years left remaining on his contract, and as Bristol Post exclusively reports, Rovers president Wael Al-Qadi is in Bristol on club matters and attended the club's 1-1 draw with Gillingham before opening discussions with the player's representative.

Whether a deal can be struck between all parties involved is yet to be revealed, but these Bristol Rovers fans are hoping for the best, or fearing for the worst in some cases, as their star man looks set to stick around in the city for just that little bit longer than expected.
