Preston remain in the hunt for the top six at this moment in time with Alex Neil's men certainly capable of making the play-offs come May.

They've been playing some great attacking football and are pretty strong defensively, too, meaning that, if they do make those final games, they're going to prove hard to beat.

If they don't earn promotion, though, is there a chance that some of their better players might leave in the summer?

We asked some Preston fans whether they were worried Tom Barkhuizen could go...

Lee, 25, Preston

I'd definitely be concerned.

We've seen a lot of our better players attract interest from elsewhere and I feel as though it's usually a matter of time before you lose some of them.

Tom is a class act and if we don't go up I would expect other clubs to be looking at him in the summer for sure.

Paul, 30, Chorley

I like to think he'd stay.

We've given him the platform to excel and he has duly done that so I think another year at the club would be something he should look at doing.

Even if we don't go up this year Alex is building a good looking team and I think next season would be even better than this.

Sarah, 22, Southport

I could see him staying.

He seems like a loyal player and it's not as if we're nowhere near getting into the Premier League.

If we don't do it this year I think we could next season and what player wouldn't want to be a part of that?

Rich, 36, Lytham St. Anne's

I'm 50/50.

He's a good player and definitely capable of making the step up to the Premier League.

I don't know whether we'll do it just yet - though I remain optimistic - but I think it'll come down to Tom seeing the vision that Alex has in place.
