Leeds United manager has freshened up his striker options, with the signing of Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah on a season-long loan, as confirmed on the club website.

The 20-year-old made his debut for the Gunners in September 2017 as a substitute in their 4-2 Europa League win against Belarusian side BATE Borisov, and went on to play 19 first-team games for the Gunners, with three of them coming from the bench.

So with Nketiah now in through the door at Elland Road, do you expect him to feature for the Whites this weekend against Nottingham Forest?

We discuss........

Alfie Burns

“I’m expecting to see him on the bench against Nottingham Forest, it’d be incredibly harsh to drop Patrick Bamford.

“However, as the game develops, he will be someone Bielsa might well turn to from the bench, whether that’s to chase a goal or just to give him a feel for the way Leeds play.

“Nevertheless, it’s an exciting signing and I’m expecting Nketiah to score a lot of goals in a Leeds side that create chances.

“As the season progresses, his influence will grow.”

Ben Lang

"I think Nketiah's will definitely play a role in this weekend's fixture, but I'm confident this will be him coming off the bench.

"The Arsenal loanee will train with his new teammates today as he starts the process of adapting to life in Yorkshire, but I think Patrick Bamford will get the nod ahead of him against Forest.

"Bamford got off the mark in Leeds' victory over Bristol City and Bielsa will be keen to build the striker's confidence heading into the new season.

"Nketiah could well oust Bamford from the starting spot eventually, and I think his energy and direct playing style means he will impress on his Whites debut."

"I'd expect him to play but I would be very surprised if he started.

"Bamford was very good against Bristol City and, after having a full pre-season under Bielsa, will most likely be seen as the main man following Roofe's departure.

"That being said, Bielsa will want there to be competition and giving his willingness to use youngsters in the past, I would be surprised if Nketiah is left on the bench or out of the squad entirely.

"Leeds will be eager to maintain the form showed in their opener at Ashton Gate so I would not expect any changes to the starting XI."
