Derby County are one of a number of clubs including Leicester, Leeds United and Sheffield United who have expressed an interest in Portsmouth striker Ronan Curtis according to TeamTalk.

The 22-year-old has been surprised by the interest in an interview with iNews, though has ultimately brushed off any talk of a move away from Fratton Park.

So, after these comments, do you think Derby realistically could try and sign Curtis in January?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Ronan Curtis is not a player Derby County need.

They have Harry Wilson, Mason Mount and Tom Lawrence at their disposal, so what would Curtis bring, if anything different at all?

It does not make sense to me and I can’t see it happening to be honest.

Gary Hutchinson

He’d thrive at Derby.

I’d like to see it, a top Championship team taking a punt.

I can’t see Portsmouth letting him go, they’ll be second-tier next season so there’s only a marginal gain.

Money talks though and £5 would do Pompey nicely this winter.

Sam Rourke

After these comments, i'd be shocked if he moved.

He looks certain to stay the whole season at Portsmouth as Jackett's side aim for promotion to the second tier.

If Pompey fail to go up, Curtis will surely be a major target for an array of clubs.
