Bristol City have enjoyed a fantastic season so far in the Sky Bet Championship and sit third as we approach the halfway point.

It's a stark contrast to the tough time the Robins had in the last campaign and shows just how well Lee Johnson has done with the current crop.

Whilst there have been many standout players, one man who has really shone is Joe Bryan.

The left-sider has established himself as a key man for Johnson and has performed to a high standard throughout his time with the club and has kicked on again this season.

So much so, that here at FLW we were wondering whether Bristol City fans should be worried about a big-money bid coming in for Bryan in the upcoming window.

We take a look...

Adam Simeoni

They should be worried, but I don't think the hometown boy will leave in the new year.

Bryan has been with the club since he was a boy, and promotion to the Premier League is a distinct possibility this season. He'll see out the campaign with the Robins, and perhaps consider his options in the summer.

Sam Rourke

I'd be worried if i was a Bristol City fan.

Bryan has been one of the best left-backs in the second tier this season, and you get the impression that PL clubs will be sniffing.

He is one of the most consistent performers and could do a job at a lot of top-flight outfits.

George Dagless

They really should.

Bryan has been top class this season and could play for any side in the Championship and probably some further up.

The Robins have some bargaining chip in being in the top six but I think we could see a big bid launched.

Alfie Burns

Although Bryan is currently playing on the left of midfield, he is still the Championship’s standout left-back.

Finding a left-back of Bryan’s quality is difficult, as there aren’t too many around, particularly in the Championship.

If I was a Bristol City fan, I’d be seriously worried about a more glamorous Championship club, or even a Premier League outfit, trying to lure the 24-year-old away.
