Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel is making preparations for life in the Championship, having achieved automatic promotion this season with a second place finish in the regular season.

Stendel though will know that his League One stars are in he shop window following a promotion season, with goalkeeper and captain Adam Davies bound to be getting some admiring glances, with his contract set to expire next month.

Stoke have already been credited with an interest in the shot-stopper, as per the Yorkshire Post.

So should Barnsley fans be worried that Davies will depart this summer?

We discuss........

Gary Hutchinson

“No, not really.

“He might go and if he does, they’ll replace him.

“The keeper might be a key area of the field, but it’s not like losing a top striker.

“There’s lots of quality available.”

George Brooks

"I think so.

"Davies is an excellent goalkeeper and has been outstanding for Barnsley in League One this season and has what it takes to become a top goalkeeper in the Championship next campaign.

"He is a big influence both on the pitch and in the dressing role and it is vital that Barnsley keep hold of him.

"The club are reportedly interested in goalkeeper Jay Lynch and this could suggest that Davies could be on his way out at Oakwell."

Jacob Potter

"I’d be concerned.

"He’s a man at the top of his game at this moment in time, and that’ll only attract interest from other clubs.

"With the Tykes also being linked to Jay Lynch from AFC Fylde, I’d think this would suggest that they’re preparing for life without Davies for next season."
