Derby County still have a chance of making the Championship play-offs this season, despite letting two points slip at the weekend in the 3-3 draw with Brentford at Griffin Park.

The Rams are now in seventh place, two points off sixth placed Bristol City with seven matches of the season remaining.

Derby manager Frank Lampard is not resting on his laurels though, with the Rams locked in a battle with Rangers as they both look to sign Birmingham City forward Greg Stewart, who is currently plying his trade at Aberdeen, according to Football Insider.

So if Lampard is able to persuade Stewart to return south of the border, would he be a good signing for the Rams?

We discuss........

Sam Rourke

"I'd avoid this.

"It's clear Stewart is best suited to Scottish football so i'd be surprised to see this one materialise.

"There are plethora of players the Rams should be targeting instead of Stewart, especially if they achieve promotion to the Premier League."

George Dagless

"Perhaps.

"It would be a bit strange to be honest but Lampard might be looking for a bit more senior experience.

"In that sense, it might be a good thing."

Gary Hutchinson

“Not in my eyes, no.

“He’s never looked likely to settle south of the border.

“Banging in a few goals against St Mirren is one thing, but breaking down a Boro defence is another thing entirely.

“I can’t see he’d get a game ahead of Waghorn and Marriott either.”
