Ian Holloway has said that Leeds United looked good enough to be a top four Premier League side against Middlesbrough.

Marcelo Bielsa's side put in a dominant performance in the 4-0 victory over Jonathan Woodgate's side at Elland Road, extending their fine run of form to five victories in a row.

That has put the Whites top of the Championship and looking good value for their position.

Leeds could, and should have scored more against Middlesbrough, and their attacking play attracted plenty from compliments over the weekend.

One of those to praise Bielsa's side was former QPR manager Ian Holloway who described their play as 'magical'..

Speaking during EFL on Quest on Saturday night: “I was so impressed with them today.
“It’s not just Bamford on his streak like Tony Pulis said a few weeks ago, the pressure they put on Middlesbrough today was as good as I’ve seen outside the top two of the Premier League.
“It’s magical, they are getting better and better, it’s pretty obvious for everybody else.”

The verdict

While the teams at the top of the Championship have made an excellent start, it's impossible to say who will be there at the end of the season.

The second tier is renowned for providing twists and turns aplenty, meaning that we may well see some new faces in the mix come April or May.

The focus for Leeds United is ensuring that they're not one of the sides who could fall away.
