It has been a tough season for QPR who are still severely impacted by FFP problems that have blighted the club over recent years.

Ian Holloway was one of few managers in English football who didn’t make a single signing in the January window with the focus on shifting some of the bigger earners instead.

That demonstrates just how difficult a position the R’s are in off the field and Holloway deserves credit for keeping the club away from a relegation battle so far this season.

The home game against Bolton this afternoon is a crucial chance to put even more distance between themselves and the bottom three and given their financial difficulties staying in the Championship is vital.

Even if they remain in the second tier there is sure to be a lot of changes in the summer and here we look at two players who could head out of Loftus Road.

The Guinea striker joined the club from Anderlecht in 2016 and managed to score a respectable ten goals from 32 appearances last season.

Many had hoped he would kick on and become the main man for QPR but it just hasn’t happened.

Even though he is still a useful option for Holloway, the reality is that he is one of few players who would probably command a decent fee so a sale looks very likely in the summer.

Four goals in 20 games this season just isn’t enough so he wouldn’t be a massive loss and with Holloway having younger options and a new number nine sure to be on the summer shopping list, he won’t be missed.

The Irish midfielder has failed to kick on after an impressive debut season in English football during the previous campaign.

After arriving from Galway, Manning represented the sort of new signing QPR were after and showed promise initially.

However, he has failed to kick on this season and has been restricted to substitute appearances but even then let himself down when he was sent off just four minutes after coming on against Barnsley recently.

A loan move is probably best for all involved but Manning will need to go elsewhere to get regular football next season.
