According to West London Sport, Ian Holloway thinks that Massimo Luongo is unlucky to have been dropped recently.
Massimo Luongo had been a key part of Queens Park Rangers’ plans this season, featuring in 27 games in all competitions.
However, the 24-year-old was an unused substitute at St Andrew’s as QPR triumphed 4-1 over Birmingham and then again in the 2-1 midweek victory over Wigan Athletic at Loftus Road.
Holloway believes that the Australian international is unfortunate to have sat out of the past two games but that is testament to how well the rest of the team is playing.
“Massimo’s unlucky I’ve left him out, but he’s still as happy as everybody else because we’re winning games.
“I want to congratulate the players I haven’t picked.
“When I do put them on they absolutely do a hell of a stint for us.”
Massimo Luongo will be hoping for a cameo when QPR travel to Preston this weekend.
