Ian Holloway considering bringing Premier League striker to QPR in January

Queens Park Rangers’ search for a new striker could lead them to Middlesbrough with David Nugent an option this January, according to Get West London Sport.

With plenty of discussion surrounding the future of Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes, QPR could sneak in with a move for another out of favour forward in David Nugent.

Get West London understands that the move for Nugent would probably be a loan deal.

QPR have been toothless in front of goal with Conor Washington, Sebastian Polter and Idrissa Sylla all struggling to hit the net this season.

Sylla has been the Hoops’ best outlet up front but 4 goals in 16 appearances isn’t exactly prolific.

As a result, QPR have dropped to within three points of the relegation zone and have been in free-fall since Ian Holloway took over from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

David Nugent could be the man to save their season as the 31-year-old has plenty of experience scoring goals at Championship level.

QPR fans – would you like Nugent at the club? Would he be an improvement on your current options? Let us know in the comments below…
