Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways following back to back defeats in the league, and an FA Cup exit in his last three outings, ahead of the visit of Derby County on Friday night in the Championship.

In the last few months, Bielsa has had to deal with a number of injuries and suspensions to key personnel, but with players now back in contention for selection he has some decisions to make.

Up front there are certainly options, with Patrick Bamford back in the frame, so should he start against Derby on Friday?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

“I wouldn’t take the risk.

"Patrick Bamford has had a torrid time this season with injury and looked to be back to his best last time out when he scored but has since been missing again.

"Continuing to rush the striker back could have a detrimental effect to the rest of his campaign.

"He needs to be monitored and assessed further to make sure there is a lower risk of a breakdown when he returns.

"Air on the side of caution and leave him on the bench to start.”

Jacob Potter

"They shouldn’t risk him.

"Bamford shouldn’t be thrown straight back into action against Derby, as he won’t have built up his match fitness ahead of this one.

"He could only manage one substitute appearance on his previous return to the side, and Bielsa will have to edge him back into the first-team carefully to avoid another injury occurring."

Sam Rourke

"Not worth the risk initially, but he is well in the running to make a start.

"Roofe is expected to start the match and so he should, with the former Oxford United man in fine form in front of goal this season.

"Bamford is knocking on the door though, there is no doubt about that."
