Lee Bowyer has been linked with the vacant manager job at Queens Park Rangers, and he is interested in speaking to the Championship club.

That is if reports are to be believed coming out of Sky Sports, who say that neither he nor Charlton Athletic have been approached at present.

The Hoops are looking for a new manager after sacking Steve McClaren on Monday after a run of one win in 15 matches has seen them drift perilously to the relegation zone.

Bowyer, on the other hand, is set to guide the Addicks to a second successive tilt at the play-offs with the club currently fifth in the third-tier, and one point off their season’s points total from the previous campaign.

The 42-year-old has had to work on a shoestring budget, and with QPR owner Tony Fernandes looking to slash the budget at Loftus Road by a further £11million, Bowyer fits into the category of the manager they desire.

He has brought through several academy products to the first team – something QPR want to happen over in west London.

It’s news that will not be welcomed by the Addicks’ faithful, with plenty of them expressing their thoughts on the link via social media.

With that said, here’s what some of the Charlton fans have had to say about Bowyer and a possible move to QPR.
