Fulham manager Scott Parker is considering testing the resolve of Championship rivals Leeds United, with a January loan bid for Leeds loanee Jack Clarke, who is coming up to the mid-point of a season long loan at Elland Road, according to a report on Football Insider.

Clarke has failed to make an impact over the first half of the season under Bielsa and this has led to speculation that Spurs will cut short his loan with the Championship high-flyers in the New Year.

So would Clarke be a good signing at Craven Cottage?

We discuss........

Louie Chandler

"I would steer clear of this one.

"Whilst some reinforcements may not be a bad idea, I think this would be a waste of wages and time.

"For one, Clarke has shown that he still has a lot of improving to do at this level before he is ready to be counted as one of the best wide men going.

"And secondly, it should not be an area of priority for Fulham. Cavaleiro and Knockaert are top, top players and although they may not have been at their best at all times, they will remain well ahead of Clarke."

Chris Gallagher

"He's a good player but Fulham don't need him at all.

"Clarke's issue at Leeds United is that he isn't playing and I don't see how that would change at Craven Cottage when Scott Parker has Ivan Cavaleiro and Anthony Knockaert down the flanks.

"It seems pretty clear that Fulham need to bring in defensive reinforcements during the window and perhaps a tough central midfielder.

"Signing another winger should be way down the list of priorities and it would be a baffling move for all concerned."

Chris Thorpe

"I think this would be a good move for Fulham, however from Clarke's point of view, he'd be moving to another club where he wouldn't be guaranteed a start under Scott Parker.

"The likes of Ivan Cavaleiro and Anthony Knockaert would likely keep the young winger out of the side at Craven Cottage, so therefore I think Clarke would be better of moving to a club that can guarantee him game time.

"He is in desperate need of minutes, with his season having been hampered by the fact he's been left on the bench for much of his second stint at Elland Road, both the player and his parent club Tottneham will want to see an improvement in terms of game time in the second half of the campaign.

"Clarke's future is likely to be one of the major talking points of the upcoming January window, so it will be interesting to see where the winger ends up at the end of the window."
