According to reports from the Mail Online, Aston Villa have emerged as the front runners in the race to sign West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass.

The 29-year-old who only signed for West Ham in January of this year has already been deemed surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.

Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, Villa can’t make the move a permanent one but Steve Bruce is keen to get the Scot on loan as he hopes to push on for promotion this season.

Steve Bruce signed Snodgrass during his time as Hull City manager in 2014 and is hoping to use their previous working relationship as leverage in this potential deal.

It has been a tough start to the 2017/18 campaign for the Villains with one win, one draw, and two defeats from their opening four league games.

With the transfer window nearing its conclusion for the summer, Villa fans across the country are hoping for a few new faces to help provide a boost to their side’s chances this season.

But what do the Villa fans think about Snodgrass? FLW writer Adam Goacher has taken to Twitter to see what Villains across the country think about this potential deal…

What do you think Villa fans? Would Snodgrass be a good signing for your club? Let us know down below!
