Sunderland are flying in League One at the moment and the feel-good factor has well and truly returned to the Stadium of Light after years of disappointment. 

The Black Cats suffered back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to the third tier, but under Jack Ross look set to bounce straight back to the Championship.

They currently sit second in League One having played 16 matches, one less than table-toppers Portsmouth and third place Peterborough United, putting them in a very strong position.

But, today was a day for them to look back to a bit of an iconic goal on the birthday of its goalscorer, Nedum Onuoha.

It is, of course, his brilliant solo strike against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

For about half a minute, the centre-back was blessed with the dribbling ability of Lionel Messi, as he jinked brilliantly through the Chelsea defence before finishing expertly.

The club posed the question on Twitter as to whether it was the best Sunderland goal ever scored by a defender, and this is how the fans reacted...
