Bristol City have enjoyed a solid start to the season, with Lee Johnson's side currently in sixth place in the Championship, with only one defeat in the league all season, ahead of the trip to Luton Town this weekend.

The Robins' form is impressive considering they allowed their captain, midfielder Marlon Pack to leave Ashton Gate in the summer to move to Championship rivals Cardiff City.

So do you feel City are missing Pack in their midfield or are they coping without him?

We discuss........

Louie Chandler

"They aren't missing him on a game to game basis that is for sure.

"Johnson has done an excellent job adapting to the loss and his midfield trio of Brownhill, Massengo and Palmer have done excellently.

"The problem may come if either of the above are hit with a knock.

"Yes, they still have Adam Nagy to come back to full fitness but he is still relatively inexperienced at this level so I would not rule out his departure having an impact just yet."

Dean Cooke

"I actually think that the Robins have recruited excellently and now have a different type of style and dimension to their play compared to when Pack was at the club.

"In Adam Nagy, Bristol City have a midfielder that’s able to drive forward but with a high level of technical ability, something they’ve lacked in recent years.

"Han-Noah Massengo is another who’s been recruited and is making it much easier for the Robins to get over Pack’s departure with some excellent performances in the centre of the pitch.

"The style at Ashton Gate seems to have changed slightly, and it’s not that Pack is now no longer needed, but due to the replacements bringing a variation of talents, Bristol City actually look better off."

Jacob Potter

"I think they’re coping absolutely fine without him to be honest.

"I’ll be the first to admit that I had my doubts as to whether Lee Johnson’s side would be able to challenge for a top-six finish without Pack in their squad.

"He offered somewhat fo a ‘cool head’ in the centre of their midfield, but the Robins seem to have found an adequate replacement in Han-Noah Massengo.

"The young Frenchman has slotted in well to the Bristol City starting XI, and given that they haven’t been beaten in their last ten league games, it shows that they’re doing very well this season.

"But I do feel as though they could benefit from having another midfielder of quality in their ranks, as competition for places in the Bristol City squad is never a bad dilemma to have as a manager."
