Leeds United face a battle on their hands if they wish to follow-up on their interest in Barnsley defender Liam Lindsay, with Celtic, Aston Villa, Brighton and Stoke all keen on the 23-year-old, according to the Scottish Sun.

Lindsay has been a virtual constant for Daniel Stendel's side with 39 appearances in all competitions and with Barnsley currently four points clear of their nearest rivals in an automatic promotion spot, promotion to the Championship looks very much on the cards.

So would Lindsay be a good signing for Leeds?

We discuss.........

Jacob Potter

"I think there’s better options out there.

"Leeds need to be preparing for life in the Premier League and I’m not sure Lindsay should be the sort of defender they should be chasing.

"They need proven top-level defenders, and their money would be better spent elsewhere."

Gary Hutchinson

“Not for me.

“He wouldn’t play.

“If they go up they’ll need better, if they stay put then they’ve already got a good defensive offering.

“Lindsay is a good player but the move isn’t right.”

Jay Taylor

“The Way Bielsa wants to play; this could be a pretty shrewd deal.

“Lindsay is good on the ball and can command a defence, too.

“Would he get in over Cooper and Jansson? That remains to be seen – but he would certainly be a solid squad player if signed up by the Elland Road side.”
